Will.I.Am Carries Olympic Torch Through Taunton
The Voice coachWill.I.Amhas carried the Olympic torch for a short segment of its journey around the UK.
The 37-year-oldBlack Eyed Peas star was cheered on by thousands as he ran with the flame for a mile through the centre of Taunton in Somerset yesterday.
And he even found time to tweet to his followers and throw in a little moonwalk as a tribute to Michael Jackson while doing it.
He tweeted: "Its nuts here in taurton...so much excitement... Crazy energy in the UK."
And: "1nce in a life time experience #runningthetorch in the uK..."
Discussing the experience afterwards, The Sun quoted him as saying: "I was tweeting through the whole run. I started this thing called 'tweet the torch'.
"I moonwalked on the torch run. I was thinking 'me and Michael' ... I don't want to Tom Jones it right now.
"Me and Mike were really close and he would have been proud that I ran the torch, so I thought why not moonwalk it a couple of steps while running with the torch."
