Will.I.Am: 'Cheryl Cole Was Wasted On TV'
Cheryl Cole's manager, Will.I.Am, says he is glad the former The X Factor USA but Will insists she's too talented "just to be some TV star."
In an interview with The Voice after it was revealed he had [uuid=84b9c2bf-1910-4418-a6c3-19d7b800469d]spent half the time with his acts[/uuid] as rival coach Tom Jones.
He said: "There are artists that rehearse loads and then when they get on stage they forget to bring emotion, because you can't practise that. Then there are people that bring the raw emotion and make you forget about your day, escape.
"Those are the ones that we call iconic singers. It's effortless... So my coaching is, let's talk and see what you're doing this for. That gives the performer a different sensibility.
"Then when you step into a song, your perspective is changed."
All five of Will and Tom's acts performed last night in the first live show of the series, with both Jaz Ellington for Team Will and Ruth Brown for Team Tom raising the roof.
