The Nicki Minajat the pre-show party, has now responded to the backlash for his choice of dress on Twitter.
Cheryl Cole's pal tweeted: "Just because I where (sic) all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn't be looked at as racial. Let go of the past."
He added: "My outfit set 'black people back 100 yrs? choose your twits (sic) wisely. No education sets people back, no jobs, bad health."
The Boom Boom Pow rapper was not the only star to cause controversy for what they were wearing at the star-studded bash.
