The Strokes Kick Off Wireless Festival
Dirty Pretty Things, Raconteurs and Guillemots and more...
The Strokes, The Raconteurs, Dirty Pretty Things, Belle & Sebastian and Super Furry Animals opened the O2 Wireless Festival in style last night.
And it wasnt all about the big names " the XFM tent highlighted some of the brightest up-and-coming talent with great performances from 747s and Guillemots.
The night belonged to The Strokes, though, who wowed an enthusiastic crowed with a greatest hits set including a blinding version of Lou Reeds Walk on The Wild Side.
The band were watched by celebrity friends including Kate Moss, Carl Barat, Drew Barrymore and Keanu Reeves. MTV UKs roving reporters partied backstage until the early hours quietly forgetting it was still only Wednesday!
And the Hyde Park action continues every night this week with corkers like Gnarls Barkley, Depeche Mode and James Blunt.
If you didn't catch the action, soothe yourself by watching The Raconteurs' exclusive performance on MTV Overdrive now!
