New Trailer Swoops In For Wonder Woman

Doctor Strange might be cleaning up at the box office right now, but DC isn’t about to let him hog all the headlines with the studio dropping a new trailer for Wonder Woman. And happily, Gal Gadot’s lasso-tossing heroine looks more badass than ever!

From firing off arrows and diving off cliffs in her homeland of Themyscira, to stopping bullets in the foggy streets of wartime America, the new trailer gives Gadot ample opportunity to show off her warrior queen routine, and pretty fierce she is too. Or, “a very good secretary,” as Chris Pine would have it…

While Batman vs. Superman was criticised for being too grim and sombre, this one looks like much more of a rollercoaster, with some nice emotional beats in there, but plenty of big, dumb fun too. That said, Gadot was the best thing in that movie, so we probably shouldn’t be surprised. Now, who’s for some fisticuffs?

Directed by Patty Jenkins and co-starring Robin Wright, Danny Huston and Connie Nielsen, Wonder Woman will open in the UK on 2 June 2017.
