If you find yourself grinding your teeth when a train won’t come, or having to sit on your hands to stop yourself throwing a slow loading computer out of the window, a new study proves that you’re not the only one.

From a poll of 2000 people, parcel comparison website Interparcel found that the average time we wait for things like bar service and date follow up is fairly brief. What’s to blame? The Internet.

Time we wait for a web page to load: 10 Seconds

Time spent waiting at the bar: 5 minutes

On the phone to a utility company: 8 minutes

Waiting for a delayed train: 13 minutes

Waiting for a delayed bus: 13 minutes

Time before you wait to be stood up: 17 minutes

How long you’ll wait for a friend who says they’ll call back: 18 minutes

Time you wait to hear back from someone post date: 2 days
