Bad News Barrett Is ABS-olutlely In The Best Shape Of His Life
Intercontinental champ has been getting plenty of admiring tweets over his prominent belly muscles...
WWE star Bad News Barrett admits he's been getting lots of attention from admirers on Twitter for his physique - and reckons he is in the best shape of his life ahead of his Wrestlemania ladder clash.
The Brit defends his Intercontinental championship against Daniel Bryan, R-Truth, Dean Ambrose, Luke Harper, Dolph Ziggler and Stardust at tomorrow's annual extravaganza and he admits the decision to drop a couple of pounds is benefiting his approach in the ring, too.
He told MTV UK: "I’ve dropped about 25 lbs since I got injured and changed my diet up.
"I've been hitting those ab crunches pretty hard and it seems to be helping me in the ring, too so I’m enjoying it.
"I’m in the best shape of my life and hopefully I can maintain it after Wrestlemania."
Barrett's look isn't the only aspect undergoing a little change - the Preston-born star reckons he is sounding different, too.
He said: "My accent is morphing into a pseudo mid-Atlantic accent at this point, which I’ve really tried to avoid but eight years deep into my American tenure it is starting to happen.
"But more often than not when people hear my accent they think I’m an Australian anyway. Very rarely do people think I’m an Englishman.
"I’ve never even been to Australia!"
Even if you start sounding like Mickey Mouse, we'll still be rooting for you Bad News!
