Chris Jericho Teases Future WWE TV Appearances Against Dean Ambrose And Roman Reigns
Chris Jericho has teased a return to WWE TV following his surprise Night of Champions appearance - but only if the storyline is right.
Speaking on his Talk is Jericho podcast, the WWE ledge also revealed he killed time in Houston airport for a few hours before the show last weekend and was hidden away in a locker room with Kane.
He hinted he was keen to be involved in more WWE programming going forward after working out where storylines with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were headed.
Jericho said: "[I] Had a couple of meetings back and forth, about what I want to do and where I want to go with it. The powers that be agreed with me and we were on - bingo, bango, bongo."
He also suggested his post-match bust up with Ambrose and Reigns could develop into a bigger storyline.
"Seeds planted. Seeds planted, okay? For storytelling,” he said.
"That’s what we do. That’s the only reason I’ll come back to TV, for storylines. If not, I’m not going to do it."
The star, who has had several part-time deals with WWE over the past couple of years, continued: "I can do [live events] until the day I retire, trust me. But if something catches my eye, catches the office’s eye and we decide to go for it, you go for storytelling.
"I’m sure a lot of people were disappointed I wasn’t on Raw the following night. Nor will I be on Raw anytime in the near future - got a lot of stuff coming up."
Jericho added: "I’m booked up! But if you watched the match at Night of Champions and were left with a lot of questions, well maybe those questions will get answered. Maybe.
"Or maybe I’ll never be back on TV again - maybe it was just a one-shot deal, so Jericho can ‘job' to the new guy. That’s all Jericho does, according to a lot of people.
"Those of you that say that don’t know s***."
