British legend and NXT General Manager William Regal has hinted more veteran stars could join the ranks of fledgling talents learning their trade on WWE's developmental brand.
With Rhyno appearing on this week's show and The Brian Kendrick scheduled for next week, Regal teased other former stars may return to the fold and lock up with WWE's stars of the future.
"Being the General Manager of NXT, you have to think what’s best for the NXT Universe," he told WWE.com.
"I’m getting calls all the time, people want to come here.
"And I thought: ‘We’ve seen the success of bring people from other organisations, [like] Hideo Itami and Finn Balor, why not bring former WWE superstars - if they want to come here - and give them a chance, right?'
"I’ve competed against Rhyno and he’s a fierce competitor. He’ll knock you into next week. I’m looking at it from when I was a younger, what I had to do to get to where I am.
"I want that opportunity for everyone, so I think it is a great thing."
To reiterate, all bouts on @WWENXT will be contested by one fall, one submission or a knock out to decide the winner unless otherwise stated.

In the wake of Kevin Owens' brutal title win over ex-champ Sami Zayn at last week's NXT TakeOver: Rival show, Regal also suggested count outs and DQs will no longer be recognised.
