Daniel Bryan Retains WWE World Title At Extreme Rules
Heavyweight champ hangs on to his belt as he sees off Kane's challenge...
Daniel Bryan has retained the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a clash with Kane at WWE Extreme Rules.
The straggly-bearded grappler turned the (flaming) tables on his challenger by hijacking the burning prop table that Kane had prepared.
He hurled his opponent through his own prop and then followed up Kane's treatment by men with fire extinguishers to win the bout with a running knee.
The event also saw Lancashire-born Bad News Barrett defeat Big E to take the Intercontinental Championship and veteran John Cena lose in a cage match against Bray Wyatt.
There was also some all-star action as The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) defeated Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista) at the first major event since Wrestlemania XXX last month.
