Jack Swagger Reveals Zeb Colter And Christian Will Be Back In WWE Soon
Ahead of Wrestlemania this weekend, the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal competitor sat down for a chat with MTV...
When he's not demonstrating some incredible knowledge about the works of Roald Dahl, there's nothing WWE's Jack Swagger likes more than chatting to MTV UK about wrestling. Well, that's what he said, anyway. He's a very charming chap indeed.
We recently sat down with the 'We, The People' star to catch up on a few bits and got talking about Christian - one his first opponents when he made it to WWE's version of ECW - his manager Zeb Colter and what it feels like to be smashed around by a couple of his former tag team partner's signature moves.
He told us that both Christian and Zeb, not seen on WWE TV for some time, are set to return at any time.
"He's a little busy... counting his money, I guess,” Jack joked about veteran star Christian.
"Christian is one of the most intense competitors I've ever been in the ring with. He's still very much around. He lives down the street from me... he's not going anywhere.
"He will be back, jumping through your television or computer screen very soon."
And on Zeb, believed to have taken some time off to recover from a surgery, he continued: "He's doing good, very well. [He’s taking] Well deserved r and r. I imagine that moustache is about to the floor by now.
“He's going to be back very soon, saluting 'We The People' more than ever. I think he says 'We The People' to me now more than ever. I'm like: 'Zeb, we're not on TV right now!”
Former World champ Jack had a great run partnering with current tag team champ Cesaro until they split at last year’s Wrestlemania – and he can still remember what it feels like to take some of the Swiss superstar’s most popular moves, several months on after their feud.
Asked whether taking the big swing or that belting European uppercut from Cesaro was less pleasant, he replied: “Personally, I hate the swing because there's that moment when you're on your back and this really strong Swiss guy has your legs and he's just looking down at you like you're an idiot and he's probably saying something not very nice to you, you can't understand – he speaks five different languages – and it's just humilating.
"Uppercuts are nice, I'd take those any day over the swing.”
