Jim Ross On WWE's Fake Diesel And Razor Ramon: 'They Went Down Like A Fart In Church'
The 'Monday Night War’ between WWE and WCW in the 1990s produced some of sports entertainment’s most memorable moments - but not every idea was a winner.
Speaking about the infamous replacements for Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in the roles of Diesel and Razor Ramon following the two headliners’ jump to WCW in 1996, commentator and former talent relations exec Jim Ross succinctly sums up in a new DVD while the recast characters were not well received by fans.
"It was like a fart in church,” he says.
Daniel Bryan was not impressed, either.
The bearded star says: "I hated them. I was, like: 'This is the stupidest thing ever.'
"I didn’t know if they thought, like: ‘Oh, we can just take anybody and put them into these deals.'
"Sometimes people make bad decisions. And that was just a really bad decision."
Wonder what happened to that bloke who played the fake Diesel...?
