Sasha Banks Reveals WWE Divas Previously 'Weren't Allowed To Punch'
NXT Women's champ and standout WWE Diva Sasha Banks has revealed just how much training has changed over recent times for female performers.
A key star in the 'Divas' revolution, the 23-year-old said on Chris Jericho's Talk Is Jericho podcast that when she first arrived in the company she was told "not to work like the men".
"To not throw punches, kicks, elbows, forearms, strikes. To work the Divas way," she explained.
"We were so confused as to what that meant. Like pulling hair and stuff?"
Referring to NXT's Assistant Head Coach Sara Amato, who was an outstanding wrestler on the independent scene during her career in the ring, Sasha continued: "When Sara Del Rey was brought in, she trained us differently, it was not like the Divas.
"We were trained like the men.“
