Seth Rollins believes he has earned his position as WWE World Heavyweight champion through sheer hard work.
Speaking to the Des Moines Register, the 28-year-old likened his title win at Wrestlemania to “winning the Super Bowl”.
"That was throwing the touchdown pass at the last second in the biggest game of your life,” he said.
“I'm not a guy that believes in faith or destiny, I believe everyone has to make their own way, so I was happy the work paid off."
Rollins puts his belt on the line against Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose at Payback this Sunday.
