Could WWE's John Cena Replace Jeremy Clarkson As Host Of Top Gear?
Well, no - not really. But the US champ is certainly a fan of the BBC car show...
Top Gear fan John Cena is backing James May and Richard Hammond to return as presenters to the BBC2 show.
US champ Cena - a huge petrolhead reported to own a fleet of classic cars - told MTV UK he was disappointed the programme was in turmoil following the departure of axed host Jeremy Clarkson, but noted in WWE that no one person “is bigger than the machine”.
Asked whether he fancied presenting the Beeb’s flagship car show, the 38-year-old WWE megastar diplomatically indicated he hoped Jezza’s co-hosts may be able to iron out new deals.
“It is sad to hear that the show’s in a bit of upheaval. I love those guys, I love the show,” he said.
“I certainly hope they can work everything out because I love watching Top Gear, not only because of the cars, I think it is because of the crew too.
“In the WWE realm we say that no one man is bigger than the machine and everybody’s replaceable but it will be a shame not to see those guys doing their thing.”

However, John did not rule out appearing in some capacity – and is keen to get behind the wheel and take on Gambon’s Corner himself.
“I wouldn’t mind doing the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car!” he joked.
“We’ve tried to hook that up a bunch of times but the stars just haven’t aligned.”
