Total Divas exclusive: WWE's Brie Bella Has 'Baby Fever' And Is 'Ready' To Be A Mom
WWE star Brie Bella allows the Total Divas cameras to film some of her most personal moments ever shown on TV in the new fourth season of the hit reality show, telling MTV: 'I’ve got baby fever!'
Speaking to us from the home she shares with hubby Daniel Bryan and their dog Josie in Phoenix, Arizona, the 32-year-old beauty reveals viewers will see the couple consider adding another member to their ‘Braniel’ family.
“You will actually see a lot of that this season, Bryan and I wanting to have babies and trying to see if we can," says Brie, above Josie’s barking – she doesn’t like it when Bryan [her husband’s real name] is in the garden, apparently.
“You actually get to see us getting our fertilities checked.
She continued: "I’ve such baby fever but at the same time, I have an amazing husband and we have an amazing relationship. I’m almost 32, he’s 34, and we’re just so ready to be parents."
Brie remains keen to ensure a balance between motherhood and the squared circle, though.
She jokes: “I keep saying: ‘Listen, the baby bump won’t stop anything. I couldn’t do anything in the ring, but it’d be great story!'
“I could come back and be a MILF of a Diva! I mean, I hope I look like a MILF after having a baby!
“A lot could happen. I feel that like being pregnant shouldn’t end my career, I can keep going."
Referring to how huge her man was a kiddywinkle, she adds, laughing: “Can you believe how big he was?
“I’m nervous! I said to Bryan: ‘You may give me one of those. Oh my God, you’ll going to break me!'”
Another storyline set to dominate early on in the season concerns friction between Eva Marie and the other Divas. The season trailer highlights the division in the locker room, with beef over how the red-headed rookie approaches being offered extra tuition on how handle herself in – and outside – of the ring.
Brie explains: “We’ve all given up our lives, we’ve given up relationships and we’ve even sacrificed seeing our families to go down to developmental and train - but it is because we really want it.
“We want to get better as wrestlers, we want to make it to the main roster and that’s what you have to do - you have to sacrifice everything to try and get that spot.
“And when you look at a girl who one thing you think to yourself: ‘Okay. Okay, why are you here then?'”
She continues: “I think that’s what all the girls were feeling. We’re on the road 250 days a year and we’re exhausted because we’re working so hard and then there’s someone who just wants to stay in LA so she can sleep in her bed every night and be with her husband. Hey, we’d all love that too - but that’s not this life. And if you can’t handle it, there’s the door.”
Brie may be regarded as a bit of a hippy, but it is clear she is no pushover.
“I’m one of those people who is so easygoing but the minute you cross me, the minute you lie to my face or you disrespect me, you will see evil little Brie come out,” she says.
“I can get hot real quick. I looked at Eva Marie as a really close friend and I realised I was looking at our relationship the wrong way.
“Finally her true colours came out and I was completely disrespected by her so she got a piece of my mind.”
Former Divas champ Brie also insists she will remain loyal to her twin sister Nikki, the current titleholder. Despite their feud on WWE programming last year, she’s happy to support her sibling and lay her own championship ambitions to the side for the meantime.
She says: “Well goodness, with SummerSlam round the corner it does bring up a lot of bad memories but I’ve got my sister’s back.
“Blood is thicker than water and despite how much I forgave her for her actions last year when she betrayed me, I didn’t forget but right now she is our Divas champion and I do have her back.”
However her future in the ring shakes down, it is apparent that Brie continues to love her Total Divas journey – and this new season is her favourite yet.
“We’re so comfortable now - you know, the whole cast - you forget that the cameras are on, that they’re rolling meaning we feel a little freer, which is great. It makes for great TV,” she says.
“I have to say, this season is my favourite one because you’re going to see a lot of real emotion.
“I love the fact you look at all these women and you’re like: ‘Wow, they have really strong personalities and they don’t hold anything back’. And we don’t!”
