Watch Out, Rock - Miz Reckons He's Going To Be WWE's First Oscar Winner
Miz's gobhole could lead to some smack being laid down from a certain Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson...
Nobody could ever accuse Miz - the undisputed star of The Marine 3 and The Marine 4 - of being backward in coming forward or lacking ambition.
The former WWE champ, set to compete in the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal at Wrestlemania, recently told MTV he's "the biggest movie star in the WWE and the most critically-acclaimed actor that WWE has".
Now, we're not sure what Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson may say about that, but Miz is certainly sure in his mind his thespian skills will continue to take him higher and higher... and he even expects to bag an Academy Award some day.
"You always have to evolve," he reflected on his career path.
"Even the biggest superstars in the WWE have always evolved. You look at Hogan with the yellow and red going into the NWO. You look at The Rock and then him coming back as Hollywood Rock then him coming back again as this huge, big mega movie star.
"You look at everyone - John Cena, a rapper. Now he's 'hustle, loyalty and respect, never give up'. Every superstar evolves, if you're good.
"And I feel like I've evolved from a reality star coming in as a host, going into a very good tag team with John Morrrison and Miz, creating the first Internet show - The Dirtsheet - through WWE.
"And then going on to become a singles champion where I was just basically a loudmouth, proving everybody wrong. And now, to this day, the biggest movie star in the WWE and the most critically-acclaimed actor that WWE has."
Asked whether he foresaw any acting prizes coming his way, he replied: "I think that's in my future, I really do.
"It sounds like a joke, it sounds like people laugh at it but it's the same way as when I told people I was going to be a WWE superstar. 'You're a reality star, reality stars aren't supposed to be good at anything.'
"So when I became a WWE superstar: 'Man, you did it! Oh my god!'
"Now that I'm taking up acting and seriously honing up in on the craft of acting and doing movies and getting good reviews... When I did my first movie, I didn't expect people to say: 'That was actually really good. You actually did a good job.'
"It's like, 'Oh, thanks. Maybe I could do something like this.'
"And now I look at it as yes, I could win an Emmy, I could win an Oscar. I do believe that.
"The next goal is to be the biggest superstar WWE has ever seen."
Could this lead to a little bit of smack being laid down from Mr Johnson?
