Who Knew That Finn Balor Was Such A Fan Of Lego?
In the second part of a superb profile of the NXT star, Finn Balor’s wrestling journey to Japan is highlighted – with head coach Matt Bloom explaining how the artist formerly known as Prince Devitt was “the man” in the Land of the Rising Sun.
“I ended up spending a full eight years of an incredible, incredible journey in a beautiful country that became my second home and I’ve a lot of happy memories there,” reveals Finn, who was a headlining star for New Japan Pro Wrestling before joining WWE last year.
The modest ace – who is, without doubt, one of the most talented performers on the planet – plays down his star status though, despite his face appearing on magazine covers and promotional posters during his run in Japan.
Bloom, however, is in no doubt that Finn’s excellence overseas brought him to his current position within WWE.
“He would not be here if it wasn’t for his sucess in Japan,” he says.
One surprising nugget of information revealed about Finn during the latest short film concerns how the Irish star likes to wind down... by building Lego models. However, that tale is told in a longer account not included in the YouTube edit.
