WWE: Can Paul Heyman Make Steve Austin Vs Brock Lesnar Happen At Wrestlemania 32?
Stone Cold Steve Austin reckons he would ‘beat Brock Lesnar’s ass’ if a deal could be struck to bring the stars together for a titanic clash at Wrestlemania 32.
Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman played matchmaker as he appeared on the WWE Network's Stone Cold Podcast, putting his host on the spot and asking him directly whether he fancied fighting The Beast at next year’s spectacular.
"I’d beat his ass," insisted Austin.
"If I was to fight Brock Lesnar, I’d beat his ass."
He continued: "You know that as well as I do, Paul. You sit there with your little grin on your face. Now I’m not going to say I’m going to, but you know how this is going to go down…"
Drawn on the appeal of breaking attendance records at the 105,000 seater AT&T Stadium in Texas next year, Austin turned the question around… but didn’t rule out the possibility of breaking his retirement to battle Brock.
Austin said: "Here’s the thing - I’d have to think about it. But I think the person who’d really have to think about it is Brock Lesnar.
"I don’t think he’d want to take all the momentum, all the good stuff that you guys have done and then to roll in [in front of all those people] and get his ass smoked!"
