WWE Elimination Chamber RETURNS! To Decide New IC Champ!
Unexpected comeback for the chain-linked steel structure after it was decommissioned earlier this year...
A new Intercontinental champion will be decided in an Elimination Chamber match following Daniel Bryan's vacation of the title due to injury.
The Chamber event will return later this month as a WWE Network exclusive with WWE.com reporting that the WWE tag team championship, as well as the IC belt, will be contested in the structure - a first for all of those titles.
The US championship and WWE World Heavyweight title are also expected to be defended on the show.
Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon explained in January that the annual February event had been rebranded as Fast Lane as the chamber itself had become too unwieldy for many arenas.
She said: "From a reality standpoint, the Elimination Chamber was ten tons. It was becoming increasingly hard to hang in arenas that had scoreboards.
"And more and more of the arenas were getting these beautiful displays in the middle of the arena and it made it [so] were unable to hang the Chamber in most of those arenas."
