WWE Entrance Themes Given A Retro 16 Bit Makeover
Never mind your 17th generation consoles and your downloadable wotsits - the greatest WWE wrestling game ever was Royal Rumble for the SNES from the early 1990s.
Sure, we may have relied heavily on the L and R wiggle functions - choking and eye-raking our way through matches - but they were still darned good times.
And who could forget the tinny renditions of the entrance themes for the likes of Ric Flair, Tatanka and the Hawaiian version of Crush? Aural gold. Or 'brass', at the very least.
A mere twenty odd years on, and having had the odd furtle around YouTube, we've turned up some brilliantly similar '16-bit' interpretations of current WWE superstars' signature themes and they're taking us on a big nostalgia trip.
Check out some of these bad boys from 16 Bit Themes... but can you make out which theme is which without peeking?
And here we have the themes from that very SNES game...
Reckon the 16-bit-ized versions above sound even better!
