WWE Fans Outraged As Undertaker Loses At Wrestlemania
Dismay greets veteran grappler's shock defeat at the hands of Brock Lesnar...
WWE fans have been voicing their shock and disappointment after veteran wrestler The Undertaker saw his epic winning streak come to an end at Wrestlemania last night.
The 49-year-old grappler was defeated by Brock Lesnar in an unheralded support match at the New Orleans Superdome - which was playing host to the pay-per-view event.
Lesnar's surprise win puts an end to a two-decade-long winning streak, simply dubbed The Streak in WWE world, and the development overshadowed Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a triple-threat match with Randy Orton and Batista.
And supporters of the 'Taker are now questioning whether their hero is retiring or whether the abrupt defeat at the hands of an unlikely signals more fireworks to come before he bows out.
The hashtag #ThankYouTaker has been trending on Twitter, with fans paying tribute to the wrestler's years of domination.
One Twitter user, @dulzanoinzano, wrote: "i really dont know what to say about WWE's decision in ending the streak..... WRESTLEMANIA will never be the same again #ThankYouTaker"
And @Maz__95 wrote: "Spending today in bed crying and hoping it was all a dream #ThankYouTaker"
While @Blackheart343 said: "You are forever my Legend, champion, hero, and idol. I love you so much #ThankYouTaker for everything!"
The WWE's biggest night of the year also saw The Shield defeat Kane and The New Age Outlaws, Cesaro win the André the Giant Memorial Trophy and John Cena beat Bray Wyatt.
