WWE: King Barrett Fancies A Crack At The Tag Team Division
King Barrett has got some bad news for the likes of tag champs New Day and other pairings in the tag team division: he's coming for you and he has plenty of Bullhammers to go round.
Speaking to MTV, the 35-year-old British star revealed he fancies getting involved with the tag scene, following a break from WWE rings to film for his upcoming movie.
"I would really like to go into the tag division," he told us.
"It isn’t something I’ve done very much in the past. Pretty much consistently since I’ve been with WWE since 2010 I’ve been the bad guy singles wrestler so I would like to do something a little different.
"I’ve always feel like I play off people well and I was hoping the run with Stardust might last a little bit longer. But going back, I know there’s a few guys that are kind of in the doldrums at the moment career-wise so maybe pairing up with someone new and trying to go in a completely different direction to what I’ve done before is the next step for me."
Barrett, who is feuding with fellow Brit Neville once again, also had words of praise for the work done by current titleholders Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods.
He continued: "The guys in that division have done a really good job in the last year or so.
"New Day especially, they’ve really spearheaded it in my opinion, so I’d love to be a part of it in some way, shape or form."
