WWE: Sheamus Return Rumoured To Be This Week But He Says 'No Definite Date Set'
Out of action since before Survivor Series, Irish superstar Sheamus is raring to get back to WWE business and knock people's blocks off.
And although the 36-year-old is rumoured by that there internet (always a credible source) to be returning later this week ahead of Sunday's Royal Rumble, the fella himself insists there is not date set for his comeback.
“If it was up to me I’d be in that ring now, trying to Brogue Kick someone’s head off,” he said backstage at last night’s Raw.
"As of right now there’s no definite date [to return to action]… but I’m just hoping its not much longer.”
Asked how he was recovering, Sheamus replied: “Honestly, I’ve been doing great."
And although the former three-time champ admitted he had been worried about the unspecified injury he sustained when required to go to hospital, Sheamus added being able to return to Dublin for his first Christmas home in six years had been a source of comfort.
“I had a pint or two, and let me hair down,” he said.
“But as much fun as that was, always in the back of my mind was getting back to America and doing everything I can to get back in the ring.”
