WWE's Bad News Barrett 'Fires Back' At Booker T After Intercontinental Win
New champ seemed to take a swipe at Raw's stand in commentator on Twitter...
Bad News Barrett forced WWE Raw commentator Booker T to eat his words after winning his FIFTH Intercontinental championship last night.
The new champ, 34, tweeted directly at the Hall of Famer - standing in for regular commentator Jerry Lawler, recovering after reportedly being hospitalised with diverticulitis - following his TV victory over Dolph Ziggler.
Booker, 49, seemed to suggest Bad News may not be on top form after his recent injury lay-off in the early stages of the match.
Echoing the former five-time WCW champ's catchphrases, Barrett shot back: "I guess that makes me a 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 TIME IC-Champion.... Suckkkkkkkaaaaaaas."
Speaking to Renee Young, Barrett - who returned to Raw last week with a win over Cesaro - said: "It feels like being back to normal, to be honest with you.
"It has taken me literally one week of being back to regain my championship.
"I've proved I'm the greatest Intercontinental champion of all time. And I will continue proving that while this [title belt] is around my waist."
I guess that makes me a 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 TIME IC-Champion.... Suckkkkkkkaaaaaaas @BookerT5x #BNB

Bad News walloped Ziggler with his Bull Hammer elbow to pick up the decisive fall in an impromptu title defence, which was switched to a best of three falls bout following a ruling by Kane after Barrett was quickly pinned in the opening contest of the show.
