WWE's Jake Roberts 'Alive And On The Mend'
Wresting star says "I will be back to normal" following recent hospitalisation…
The veteran grappler was discharged from hospital after having treatment for double pneumonia, only to be told that he had cancer again.
Despite not feeling well enough to attend a Comic-Con event in Montreal this weekend, he assured fans that he was "on the mend".
"Wow, what a scary couple of weeks. So appreciative to be alive & on the mend. Thank u all for the love and support. I will keep you posted," he wrote.
He then added: "Need a bit more time to recover. I will be back to normal & out there thanking all of you for the kindness and support in a couple weeks."
The 59-year-old revealed that doctors discovered a a tumour on his chest, just months after he had one removed from his knee.
Speaking at a recent Future Stars Of Wrestling match in Vegas, he told the crowd: "I'm not crying. I'm 59 years old and I kicked some serious ass for a long, long time."
"It's cancer and they gotta do what they gotta do. But I'm not afraid because I'm comfortable in my faith. Faith not only in God above but faith in the people around me."
