WWE's John Cena: 'Real Men DO Wear Kilts!'
MTV bags an exclusive chat with WWE megastar as UK live tour kicks off in Glasgow...
WWE is currently touring the length and breadth of this fair isle - as well as taking in visits to Dublin and Belfast - but before it all kicked off with a first night in Glasgow's SSE Hydro Arena, John Cena was presented with a tartan and some priceless whisky by Depute Lord Provost Gerald Leonard.
Welcomed by several bagpipers and drummers to the City Chambers, the US champ was clearly moved by the rousing reception - and proved himself to be quite the Scotophile.
As well as having previous experience of haggis, the former 15 time champ and perennial headliner was also pretty familiar with local lingo and - although he admits he does need some Scottish WWE fans with very strong accents to occasionally repeat themselves - managed to bust out a pretty mean attempt at an impersonation Braveheart.
Close your eyes ('we can't see you, John!') and it is like Mel Gibson is there in the room with you. Only far more charming.
Find out more about why John is already a tartan fan and hear his special words of appreciation for Scottish people and culture in the video above... also includes the final word on kilts!
