Wrestling star Nelson Frazier Jr. has died of a heart-attack, the WWE is reporting.
Best known as his in-the-ring alter-egos Mabel, Viscera and Big Daddy V, Nelson was 43 when he died.
“WWE is saddened by the news that Nelson Frazier Jr. (aka Big Daddy V, Mabel and Viscera) has passed away,” read a statement on WWE.
“A larger-than-life Superstar, Frazier was a former World Tag Team Champion, Hardcore Champion and 1995 King of the Ring.”
After wrestling for a number of years, Nelson signed with WWE (then the World Wrestling Federation) in 1993. Two years later, under the stage-name Mabel, he won the King Of The Ring tournament, in June of 1995.
By the late 1990s he was known as Viscera and later, in 2007, changed it again to Big Daddy V.
In recent years Nelson had ceased wresting for the WWE, fighting his last match in 2008, although he still continued to wrestle in other tournaments.
Nelson died less than three days after his 43rd birthday, which he celebrated on Valentine's Day.
