Bidding War For The X Factor's Ella Henderson
Sony labels reportedly competing to land talent show reject...
Four subsidiaries of Sony are locked in a bidding war for Simon Cowell's own label Syco is facing stiff competition from RCA, Columbia and Epic to land the 16-year-old, who left the ITV talent show in a shock result on Sunday.
And the paper claims that SiCo has already told his industry contacts that he wants to launch her in the UK and US - billing her as "the new Leona Lewis".
A source said: "Ella is the most exciting thing to have come out of this year's X Factor.
"Simon can't believe she got the boot but he's not losing any sleep over it as he can see the pound signs in his eyes.
"He's confident Syco will get her but if she goes elsewhere within Sony he's still quids in."
Ella's manager father Sean is reported to be negotiating with the labels now.
