Two former winners of Steve Brookstein andLeon Jackson are both conspicuous by their absence from the double album, despite having both notched-up No 1 singles in the wake of their wins.
And Brookstein, who won the show's first series in 2004, has already been complaining about being left out.
He wrote on Twitter: "Thanks for the 1st ever X Factor No1 and the 6 million votes. Just wasn't enough I guess."
But meanwhile two more previous winners, Leona Lewis, One Direction, Olly Murs, JLS, Cher Lloyd and many more.
It is set for release on 25 November.
