Christopher Maloney 'Still Getting X Factor Abuse'
Finalist reveals he's still targeted by Twitter trolls...
In an interview with Digital Spy, the Liverpudlian responded to rumours that he was a diva, saying: "Those rumours are absolute c**p. They really are! Unfortunately, with this show someone has to be the villain."
Maloney went on: "It was pretty awful and I'm still trying to get myself back on my feet. It was a bit of a shock and struggle - and I'm still having to defend myself.
"I don't ever get involved in Twitter wars, I don't want confrontations. I'm still getting the death threats and the nasty stuff, so it's not great."
Maloney described the level of abuse as "absolutely unbelievable" and revealed even his grandmother has been targeted.
He explained: "There was a guy who was baiting me for a response during the final. He kept calling my nan a slag, a sl*t and a prostitute and stalked me for four days! It was horrible."
Christopher added: "There was a lot of stress with the bullies and stuff, and having to deal with the negativity and lies being printed about me. I try to guard her as much as I can."
The good news is that, contrary to reports, Maloney is enjoying rehearsals for the XF live tour, saying: "Everyone's having a really good time.
"We're all like one big family again. There's no pressure so we're all really excited and having a ball."
