Cowell "In Talks" With Cheryl & Nicole Over US XF
As reports claim he is set to quit the UK version of the show...
In an interview with his ex-girlfriend Girls Aloud star Cheryl, it seems that Nicole is by far his favourite to be a judge on the the American X Factor, telling Seymour: "She is gorgeous and she does know what she's talking about."
Simon also ruled out former Wham! star George MichaelandChristina Aguilera as judges on the talent show, joking that Usherand that Black Eyed Peas leading lady Fergie is "one of the most underrated singers in this country."
Despite the hype surrounding US X Factor, reports have suggested that the show could mean bad news for fans of the original UK version.
According to The Mirror, Cowell has "ruled himself out" of appearing as judge on the new series, because he intends to spend up to six days a week on the Stateside show.
SiCo also confessed that taking the hit show to America is "a risk", after revealing that the winner's prize would include a $5million record deal.
Cowell explained: "Putting up that kind of prize money - it's a massive, massive risk."
"But it's also an incredible incentive and I think it rightly puts everybody under an enormous amount of pressure. So I'm nervous, but also confident it was the right thing to do."
The 51-year old added that the final judging line-up for the US X Factor is expected to be announced in the next "three or four weeks."
