Gamu To Be Deported

At the weekend the 18 year old- originally from Zimbabwe- was dropped from the X Factor by mentor Cheryl Cole. She instead put through Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd- who were both criticised for bad final auditions.

 

 

But it seems even if Gamu did make it through, she would have been unable to continue in the competition.

 

The UK Border Agency said her mother had been refused the right to stay in the UK. A statement said: “The applications made by Ms Ngazana and her family were considered in line with the published immigration rules.

 

“Ms Ngazana's application was refused as it did not meet all of the conditions for approval. Her family, who had applied as her dependants, were therefore also refused.”

 

Since choosing Katie and Cher over Gamu Cheryl Cole has come in for huge amounts of criticism. A report today even claims that she’s received death threats from supporters of the young hopeful.
