Gary Barlow: I Haven't Spoken To SiCo Since Feb'
The X Factor judge confirms that he hasn't heard from boss in 10 months...
The X Factor judge and Take That star confirmed in a press conference for last night's final that he and the media mogul were no longer talking to one another.
Digital Spy quoted GB as saying: "I don't talk to Simon, I talk to ITV. I don't hear from Simon. I met him in February to talk about the next series, but that's it.
"It was the same as last year - once we go on telly I don't hear anything. I don't need to speak to anyone during the series. I know what my job is, and what I need to do.
"Last year it was ITV who called me saying they'd like to talk to me about the next series."
There have been reports in the media and in SiCo's semi-official biography that the reality TV tycoon had become annoyed by Barlow.
And Barlow has again hinted that he might not be returning to the panel next year, saying: "To be honest, I don't know if there is room in my diary for X Factor."
His wildcard contestant Christopher Maloney got the boot from the show last night, finishing third and leaving just Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur to scrap it out for the win.
Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger has spoken about the microphone failure that marred her duet with Jahmene last night.
Being interviewed on The X Factor, she said: "Oh honey... I don't know if that's happened to me ever before.
"I kept saying before I went on, 'My mic's not on'... I was like, I couldn't believe it."
Nicole stunned viewers as she grabbed a confused Jahmene's mic from him on stage, in order to sing her lines. They then huddled together to share their one working microphone for their performance of Whitney Houston's The Greatest Love Of All.
