X Factor favourite Sam Bailey has revealed that it was One Direction’s Harry Styles that helped her calm the nerves on the ITV talent show.

The 36-year-old prison officer explained to The Sun: “I thought I was going to be in the bottom two and I was also having a fat day, like most women do, and I was getting really tearful.

"He pulled me into the make-up room to put his hands on my shoulders and said, 'What can I do to help? I have been there myself, I know it is stressful, you just need to keep chilling'.”

Hazza's pep talk must have helped as it was Hannah Barret who found herself heading home from the competition, after a powerful sing-off against rival act Rough Copy.
