How Lee Nelson Managed To Invade X Factor Stage
Comedian used old pass to trick his way onto reality show set...
Lee Nelson managed to storm the stage to join Stereo Kicks during The X Factor's Saturday night show by using an old pass, it has been revealed.
The Sun has reported that the TV funnyman (real name Simon Brodkin) conned his way onto the set of the ITV talent show in London using a pass that he'd been given for a previous visit.
A source told the paper: "He kept a pass from last time he was a guest and flashed it to get past security. Things like this can't be allowed to happen."
And indeed security was reported to have been tightened up for last night's results show - with careful identity checks for visitors and a strict cut-off enforced.
Unfortunately for England and Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw, he fell foul of the new regulations.
The 19-year-old sportsman tweeted: "All the way to London to watch X factor then get there 5 mins late and not being allowed in."
And Nelson himself wrote for the paper: "When I saw Stereo Kicks on telly there were so many of them I thought anyone could have a go.
"And when I heard one of them might not be able to make it as he had homework I decided to give it a bash. I put on fake tan, my little sister's jeans and spent seven hours doing my hair.
"X Factor security waved me straight through. Stereo Kicks were great and all had smiles on their faces. I'd love to hang out with them and help them with their first shave."
Good luck with that Lee.
