James Arthur Hits Back In Matt Cardle Feud
The X Factor's reigning champ says former winner hates him...
Giving an interview on the Real Radio Breakfast Show in Scotland, he was asked if he thought Cardle hated him.
"I think he does hate me... I agree it was pretty offensive what I said, if you're a male X Factor ex-winner," Arthur said.
"I was asked, 'Why do you think the male X Factor winners haven't been successful in the past?'. And I said, 'Because obviously the body of work that they've brought out wasn't good enough' and that was it.
"He's insulted me, he's insulted my mum, my dad, my cat, every producer that's ever worked on any song I've ever done.
"He said I've took it right down to the playground, like I was pulling his hair or something, it was like, 'Mate you need to deflate your ego slightly'. He dissed The X Factor and that's his platform."
And he couldn't resist having another pop at 2010 champ Cardle.
Asked if he'd hire him as a support act to bury the hatchet, he replied: "I'd rather my fans were awake when I came on, that's the only problem."
