JLS: X Factor Boy Bands Need To Be Original
Successful former contestants give current competitors advice...
JLShave issued some friendly advice to the show's current boy bands Union J and District 3.
The foursome, who were runners up to Alexandra Burke in 2008 and were the show's biggest boy band before One Direction, reckon that this year's acts need to find their niche in the marketplace.
Aston Merrygold told Digital Spy: "Those two boy bands are going to have to come out with something extremely different from what's in the market now.
"You've got the likes of us, The Wanted, 1D... Lawson. You've got a total mix and it's going to be hard to find your own lane.
"They're going to have to try and come out with something different. That show does bring out the best in UK talent, you can't deny that."
JLS' new album Evolution is released on Monday.
