Kitty Brucknell And The Risk Deliver On The X Factor

Misha and Janet also won praise from the judges…

Boyband The Risk and Louis Walsh’s act Kitty Brucknell were the highlights of the second week of The X Factor.

The theme was ‘Love and Heartbreak’ and controversial Kitty wowed the judges with Bjork’s It’s Oh So Quiet. Kelly Rowland said she enjoyed the Alice In Wonderland-inspired performance, but told the 26-year-old she was still in danger of being voted off the show. “You delivered vocally but you’ve got to remember the people you want to sell records to, they have to love you,” the judge explained.

The Risk showed Nu Vibe how it’s done with a tight performance of Bruno Mars’ Just The Way You Are (Amazing) and received universal praise from the judges, with Gary Barlow saying, “Two words from me: pure class. That is what hard work and commitment sounds like”.

Tulisa Contostavlos gave her group a standing ovation and called on their fans to vote. “I want you to rock this competition. The ladies, the riskettes, have to vote for you.”

Misha Bryan also won praise for a unique version of Would I Lie To You Baby by Charles & Eddy, despite wearing a distracting purple outfit. Louis said, “We need a new Urban Queen and I think we found her here!”

According to reports, Misha's mentor Kelly had words to her earlier this week about her [uuid=bd8d5195-9264-4f2b-969a-a0e9e2573ed1]backstage diva antics[/uuid].

Janet Devlin also did well on last night's show, performing Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley, just days after her grandfather had passed away.
