MK1: "Tulisa Was Gutted By Our X Factor Exit"
EXCLUSIVE! Duo reveal they plan to stay in touch with T and Louis Walsh...
Tulisa was "gutted" following their exit from Louis Walsh being their mentor on this year's series, duo Charlie Rundle and Simeon Dixon claim they grew very close to the N-Dubz star during their time on the ITV1 talent show.
Speaking of The Female Boss - who was clearly upset by their elimination - Charlie exclusively told MTV.co.uk: "Tulisa was honestly gutted backstage.
"We used to spend before and after the show in her dressing room with Louis and Jade Ellis – we are quite a close little unit."
She continued: "She was literally gutted when we saw her afterwards to the point of holding onto us for a very long minute."
When asked if they planned to keep in contact with Tulisa over their own mentor Louis, Charlie stated: "Not at all, we’ve spoken to Tulisa since and we are going to stay in touch with her and Louis.
"He has already invited us to Dublin so we are going to go there. We are going to stay tight with both of them. "
As for whether they hope Louis has embraced his recent 'urban make-over', Sim claimed: "I think he’s embraced it really well. He was loving that day when we switched up his swag.
"We took him to the Professor Green gig and he was like shaking a leg in VIP with us when he [Pro] was performing. Uncle Louis knows that urban is a good look. It was epic. "
While we try and forget the thought of Walsh 'shaking a leg' to Pro Green, Sim went on to add that himself and Charlie feel honoured that Tulisa compared MK1 to her hit band N-Dubz during their stint on the talent series.
He stated: "We were so humbled by it as we are big fans of N-Dubz, what they have achieved is just crazy – we would love to get just a quarter of that.
"So for Tulisa to continually give us positive comments, we were so amazed and grateful as well. We are good friends now and she understands where MK1 could possibly go. She understands our vision."
