Nicole Scherzinger has accused Gary Barlowof being jealous of Tulisa's girls category on The X Factor.
Speaking to Metro newspaper, the reality TV judge suggested that the green-eyed monster was to blame for Take That star [uuid=2979e9c9-dfe7-4670-896d-07d6799f16ae]Gary's "fag ash breath" jibe[/uuid] to Tulisa on Saturday's show.
She said: "Maybe he's just a little upset that Tulisa's contestants are holding their own up there.
"I didn't even know what was going on because we don't say that in America. Afterwards I slapped him on the hand and said 'Go make sure you apologise to her', [uuid=d9c18884-3c77-4acd-a353-ed2eb2fdea57]and he did[/uuid].
"And you know what, nobody's perfect it was just in the moment."
But while Nicole might have been diplomacy personified in the fag ash breath-gate saga - she apparently created an incident of her own at the Pride Of Britain awards earlier this week.
The Mirror claims that the 34-year-old former Pussycat Dolls star didn't recognise British PM David Cameron when she was introduced to him at the event.
She confessed: "I didn’t know who he was. They said they were introducing me to the Prime Minister and he came over, and I was like: 'Where’s Tony Blair?' I thought it was still him.
"Someone had to tell me. I was a real ass."
