Rita Ora Is Simon Cowell's ‘Number One Target’ To Remain On The X Factor Judging Panel

But will Simon get his way?

It feels like only yesterday that Louisa Johnson was being crowned 2015’s winner of The X Factor, but already, there are more rumours about who’ll be returning this year than we’ve had hot roast dinners.

And trust us, we’ve had FAR TOO MANY of those.

The newest report claims that Simon Cowell is pretty desperate to keep Rita Ora firmly in the judging seat after she won the 2015 series, despite rumours that 'The Voice UK' also want her to return to their spinning chairs when the show moves to ITV in 2017.

A show insider has told The Daily Star: “Rita is his No1 target. He sees her as being the one person that could save the series and make it great again.

“It’s looking like Louis Tomlinson is also a done deal.”

This updatecomes after Nick Grimshaw quit the show, and presenter Caroline Flack was allegedly axed. It's thought that former host Dermot O'Leary could return to presenting duties once again.

One Direction's Louisis the favourite to replace Grimmy on the show(we're very much on-board with this thank you very much), with William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly saying: "There were rumours that Louis Tomlinson was going to join the panel last year before Grimmy was selected but after a not so sparkling year, Simon will surely be looking to return a bit of showbiz glamour to the show."

Someone pass us a very large mug of coffee - this is going to be a long few months.
