Robbie Williams is allegedly 'desperate' to replace Dannii Minogue on this year's X Factor.

Reports suggest the Simon Cowell is considering offering him a seat on the UK's most notorious judging panel with himself, Louis Walsh andCheryl Cole.

Dannii, who is pregnant with her first child will not be able to attend this summer's X Factor auditions as she will be heavily pregnant preparing for the birth with fiancée Paula Abdul's departure fromAmerican Idolbut he is now considering appointing Robbie as a full time judge on the live shows.

A source told Take Thatstar has been linked with X Factor.

After he appeared on the show last year to perform with finalist Olly Murs, Simon Cowell stated: “He’s fun, he’s got good instincts and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

As well as Williams, former American Idol judge Paula Abdul,Mel B have also been rumoured to be taking Dannii's job - which is easily becoming the most sought after vacancy in showbiz.

Despite these claims, Dannii Minogue has hit back at reports she is loosing her place on the judging panel by posting on her Twitter page: "No truth in me being axed at all…"

A spokesman added: "Anything written about the judges is complete and utter speculation."
