SiCo Wants Cheryl Cole To Be Tulisa X Factor Back Up?
The music mogul wants Chezza to return if the N-Dubz star is unpopular...
Simon Cowell is allegedly hoping that Cheryl Cole will return to Girls Aloud beauty to appear on any other programme other than The X Factor, and is "determined" to prevent Chezza from joining rival talent show, The Voice - which launches on BBC One next year.
A source told the publication: "She wouldn't have met up with Simon without Will.I.Am being there. But Simon wants to be mates again,"
They continued: "Simon wants to put a stop to any offers she's had from the rival show. He wants her waiting in the wings to save the UK X Factor if Tulisa doesn't work out."
As we previously reported, SiCo confirmed that he is back in contact with Cheryl after she was sacked from The X Factor USA, stating that he "probably got it wrong" when it came to firing the gorgeous Geordie from the American judging panel.
Cowell told Heat magazine: "We've texted. She's still grumpy with me. I can look at myself in the mirror and say I wasn't being mean."
"I offered her a lot of money to go back (to U.K.'s The X Factor) as a hero and it didn't work out. I'm sorry for the way it worked out, as we were incredibly close."
The 51-year old added: "When you have the history we have, you eventually work it out."
