Simon ‘Backing Cheryl For US X Factor’

He’s apparently determined to give her a job…

Simon Cowell is reportedly “winning his battle” to take Cheryl Cole across the pond as a judge on his Stateside launch of The X Factor.
The mogul will bring his show to US viewers in early 2011 with a panel of experts still to be announced.

Fox TV bosses are apparently keen to have judges well known by American audiences, while Si’ is sure Chezza will be a hit.
The show will need to compete with Cowell’s old show American Idol, which last month announced that both Jennifer Lopez and Stephen Tyler would be joining the panel.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: “He knows he can't just choose Cheryl because she's a girl he's fond of but at the same time he won't be told what to do by Fox.
“It has left Simon torn. He feels very loyal and protective to Cheryl but his business head is saying he must do what's right for the show.”
Nicole Scherzinger has also been linked with a job on US XF after impressing audiences on the original UK version.
