Simon Cowell Signs 3 Year X Factor Deal

Simon Cowell has signed a new deal with ITV to keep Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor on the channel for the next three years.

It’s reported that the contract is worth £100 million for the shows as well as £20 million for the mogul to personally appear on them.
Cowell will launch The X Factor in the US in 2011 and it was unclear if he could still commit to the original UK version.

An ITV spokesman said yesterday when the deal was confirmed that they are still “in discussions” over how often he will judge on the two shows.
It’s reported that he will miss the BGT auditions and will have to jet between the UK and US when the two XFactors air at the same time.
ITV has also gained the rights to show XF US on British shores.
