The X Factor Finalists To Leave House?
The council claim the mansion fails fire safety and building regulations...
Show bosses have apparently "hit the roof" over the allegations, after the building failed a recent spot-check.
Inspectors are due to give the property a "final chance" tomorrow and will then make a decision whether to close it.
A source told the newspaper: "The place is a total tip, with all the fire escapes cluttered up and a lack of proper signs indicating proper exits."
They added: “Unlike previous years, the house is designated a commercial property, not just residential – so these rules apply. Bosses went ballistic and pledged to get things sorted for the next visit.”
In other X Factor news, the theme for this Saturday's live show has been confirmed as Rock Week, despite the contestants previously being scheduled to sing songs from their musical heroes.
Explaining the theme change, an insider told Digital Spy: "Producers wanted to spice things up a bit for viewers and they thought the return of Rock Week would provide plenty of drama. It will challenge some of the acts, who have had an easy ride so far."
An official X Factor spokesperson also added: "The change of theme weeks was a production team decision to take contestants out of their comfort zone. Production regularly change themes late in the day."
