Stand-out auditions from last night’s show included 19-year-old Justin Timberlake. His falsetto voice and smooth moves had the crowd on their feet and afterwards Kelly told Ashton he had “a lot of star quality” and Tulisa said he was the full package: “You can sing, you can dance, you’re good looking.”

Stevie Wonderclassic Signed, Sealed, Delivered and despite Kelly being a little worried about his raspy vocals, he got four nods and progressed to the next round.

Kitty Brucknell looks to be the new Katie Waissel - she's already displaying some diva behaviour at boot camp, if reports are to be believed.

The 26-year-old has more experience than many X Factor hopefuls as she already performs across the country as a Lady GaGa impersonator. She chose Edge Of Glory for her audition, saying the lyrics meant a lot to her.

The crowd were on her side during Kitty’s a cappella performance, but after talking a little too much, Gary advised her to let the judges speak. Tulisa said she had a “quirky personality” that people would either love or hate, but she ended up getting four yeses and went through to the next round.

Overnight ratings data revealed that the new line-up was a hit with 11.3m viewers tuning in.
