The X Factor reject Kye Sones has accused his fellow Over 28s contestant Christopher Maloney of being "two faced".
Kye, who left the show on Sunday after losing the sing-off against Rylan Clark, told The Sun: "All of us have got really close and then you've got Chris. We've been a really strong group and he's been an outsider — and that's nothing to do with any of us lot.
"He's very tactical. There are two different people — one when cameras are there and one when they're not there."
And Kye even suggested that Christopher's cheesy repertoire had hampered his own chances.
He said: "I was trying to make it more of a cool, credible category and erase the stigma attached to it but it's hard to do that when somebody is pulling in the opposite direction."
Meanwhile, the secret of Christopher's survival in the contest may have been uncovered by The Mirror.
The newspaper claims that show staff and fellow contestants have seen the Liverpudlian voting for himself repeatedly on his mobile each weekend.
One mole said: "I've seen him dialling and redialling his own number over and over again.
"It's sad really but he wants it that much that he is spending a fortune."
And a show exec apparently said: "You can't outlaw this sort of behaviour but it leaves a very sour taste. It's against the spirit of the show."
However Christopher admitted voting for himself, but brushed off criticism.
He said: "I have voted for myself a few times.
"So has everyone else – I doubt my calls have made much of a difference... if I had more credit on my phone I'd vote more."
We told you this morning how Gary Barlow is reported to have agreed he will not return to the show next year.
