The X Factor Live Tour: Parents' Text Anger

Competition encourages youngsters to text for chance to meet acts...

Angry parents have criticised The X Factor's [uuid=01fd8e02-bb6d-49e1-815e-e63ccda5f5c3]live tour[/uuid] for encouraging young gig-goers to take part in a text contest to meet the show's acts.
The Sun newspaper reports how mums and dads were angered by the live text competitions, having already paid £37.50 for each ticket.
"I felt it was too much, given how much we'd already paid for tickets," one fan at London's O2 told the paper.
"There were lots of young kids and you could see them texting when the offers came up."
Another fan said: "It was outrageous - especially when it didn't even seem like much had been spent on the show. Thank goodness the finalists were so good."
The show features James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas, Christopher Maloney, Union J, Rylan Clark, Ella Henderson and District 3.
A spokesperson for the show told the paper that the contest was "in no way compulsory".
